WHY TO CHOOSE THE SUNFLOWER OIL OF TORRE COLOMBAIA, AND WHY IT HAS A UNIQUE FLAVOUR.

Our organic sunflower seeds have been threshed when they are completely dry and ripe. After an accurate selection the seeds are being pressed when they are raw by mechanic pressing with maximum temperature of 37C° (neither decorking nor heating) at Farm oil press "OEKOTEC" many times in the year, so that we always get a fresh product. From a quintal of seeds only 30 litres come out. On the contrary other cold pressing methods produce up to 40 litres. That is the reason why our price is slightly higher than the others. The pressing takes place once a year in October. The following October the old oil is not on sale any longer. Yearly the oil goes through chemical tests at University of Rome and Local Health Authority.
