TORRE COLOMBAIA

is one of the places in Umbria where thanks to historical reasons, the natural environment stayed uncontaminated and still well preserved in these days. For that our Eco-Farm TORRE COLOMBAIA has been inserted in LEADER II project by Regione Umbria.

It had the chance to get UE funds to organise a complex net of " MARKED AND EQUIPPED TRACKS THROUGH FAUNA AND FLORA". Clear signs describe all different species of plants and trees. Our Eco-Farm has been inserted as S.I.C. zone (Sito di Interesse Comunitario) for its particular and uncommon flora and wildlife.

The most interesting example is the famous "Roverella di S. Biagio", one of the biggest oak-tree present in Umbria.
